My Current Blogsites
This is an archive collection of the many different blogsites I've used over the years. These posts chronicle my incessant ramblings, thoughts and observations over the course of my life journey. On different occasions I have written with more frequency, honesty, or purpose than others, but my hope is that as you eavesdrop along my journey, my words may somehow prove to be signposts for yours.

Musings from the Road
It's late and I need my sleep before a long day of driving ahead of me tomorrow, but I was just thinking how cool heaven's going to be where all the cool people I'm friends with will finally all be in the same place. Granted that will be an infintesimally small perk compared to the infinite greatness of being in the presence of the awesome Trinity! But haven't you ever thought how much it sucks that your really cool friends are so spread out that you can't hang out with them nearly as much as you'd like? And how cool it would be if you could all be together in the same place? Not to mention all the really cool people that you'll never get to know because they live in different places! As I spend time with the cool people I know spread out across the country, I look forward to the day when I'll get to hang out with them all together in the same place with Jesus. Reason #1854962 that heaven won't be boring!

Where Skies Burn
It's finally finished. After months of selecting from over twelve thousand photos, designing layouts, editing, writing and formatting, it's finally ready for your coffee table. I've organized and self-published a collection of the very best of my photos from this past year into a 76-page 9x7 photo book for your viewing pleasure. The books are available for purchase exclusively from my Lulu.com storefront for only $22.95. For those who haven't been following this blog regularly you can get a sample of my photography under the label heading "photo of the day" in the right column or following the link to my Flickr site. Thanks to everyone for all your support and encouragement through this adventure. May this book be a small token of my appreciation for you all. I hope these photos will be a reminder to you of God's glory displayed through beauty and through poverty, on this continent and every other.

One year
Looking ahead to a year seems like a really long time. Looking back on it, it seems all to short. My year living in Namibia is over, but after seven trips I can't imagine it will be my last. One thing that's always been a motto of mine is "be where you are." Trying to make that a reality in my own life I realize that the very purpose of blogging is to be somewhere else, to share what's on your mind with people who aren't there. So not that I've ever written on this blog with much regularity, but in trying to be more purposeful about living purposefully I won't be updating this blog as often. If you're interested in what's on my mind drop me an email or take me out to lunch! If you're interested in my observations from living in Namibia for a year, check out my African Travel Blog.
